Back in 1937 in the now famous book “Think and Grow Rich”, Napolean Hill wrote “Thoughts Are Things” and yet even today, a lot of people still do not accept this extremely simple concept.
One of the most basic teachings in Buddhism states that thought precedes all speech and action. If you have virtuous thoughts, you will do virtuous deeds and yet if you have “evil” thoughts, you will do “evil” deeds.
Without a thought, the Wright brothers would never have believed in flight. Da Vinci would have not painted the Mona Lisa and Hitler would not have tried to rule the world. Not all thoughts lead to good actions or outcomes.
The Law of Attraction implies that things are attracted to other similar and aligned things. When it comes to having thoughts, “things” are nothing more than a series of random energies yet to be aligned.
Even though we cannot see electricity or the wind, we can see the effects of these things. With electricity, the light will glow, the kettle will boil and the toaster will work as required. When the wind blows, we see the effects in the way the trees sway, the leaves move and the grass wavers. Even though we cannot see the electicity or the wind, there is no denying it exists.
With the latest advances in quantum physics, we are led to believe that everything consists of energy and that these energies radiate at both different frequencies and intensities. When we have thoughts, these energies also radiate at different frequencies and intensities.
When you have low frequency thoughts, you get low results and with high frequency thoughts, you get high results. In other words the greater the frequency and intensity of thought, the greater the chance of that thought manifesting into the physical realm.
The primary key to making the Law of Attraction work is to realise that thoughts are as real as the psychical things you desire. If you are not absolutely convinced that this is the case, then you will never gain the results you would like.
If you have watched “The Secret” you may have walked away from the film thinking “this is easy” and yet you have still not gained any significant results.
Unfortunately, “The Secret” left out quite a bit and unfortunately only dealt with wealth and greed. I have come across a great site that will guide you through the 11 Laws that The Secret left out.
